Escape Room

Creating this escape room took me months of planning and gathering materials, but it doesn’t have to cost much! Many of the props I thrifted or borrowed from friends and family, and I also found printable resources online and made some of my own. I had the chance to participate in an escape room before designing my own, and it was such an incredible experience that I knew I wanted to bring that excitement to my students. I chose to use different rooms for each stage of the adventure, but you could easily set it up in a single room using multiple “stations.” For this version, I decided to have a diagnosis as the end goal, but there are so many ways to design it — and it can be adapted for paramedic students or other professions and topics. It was so much fun to create and even more rewarding to watch students work through it and enjoy the experience!
